LIKE A CHILD (Matthew 18:4)
Danniebelle Hall

A little child will trust you,
He'll believe in what you say;
He's honest and he hasn't learned
The games that grown-ups play.

He won't pretend to be your friend
And laugh when you're around,
But wait until you leave
And then begin to put you down.

And when they asked Him,
"Who's gonna be the greatest in the kingdom?"
Jesus called a little child for them to see. (oh, yeah)
And if you really want to be the greatest in the kingdom,
Just like this little child you've got to be.

A little child is lowly,
Not much does he require;
The simple things can satisfy
His longings and desire.

He's so in touch with much
Of what is beautiful and pure,
And if he knows that he has your love,
He'll always feel secure.

A little child is loving,
That's just the way he lives;
And he can't hold a grudge for long,
He's willing to forgive,

Trusting, lowly, loving and forgiving,
Here is the key;
To enter in God's kingdom,
Like a child you've got to be.

And when they asked Him,
"Who's gonna be the greatest in the kingdom?"
Jesus called a little child for them to see.
And if you really want to be the greatest in the kingdom,
Just like this little child you've got to be.

And when they asked Him,
"Who's gonna be the greatest in the kingdom?"
Jesus called a little child for them to see...
