My first memories of Danniebelle Hall was when she performed at the church I attended as a child, Jesus the Light Center, in New Orleans, LA. I remember how she would sit at the piano and speak to us about how good God was to her. She showed such excitement when she spoke about God. I couldn't have been any older than eight, nine, maybe ten years old, but I recall with ease how wonderful it was to hear her sing. She seemed to have so much fun when she performed. Many times, I wished that I could sit next to her and feel the power that flowed from her when she ministered to us through her music. I will never forget when she sang
"Ordinary People". I just cried and cried. I understood then that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways. This is what He did for Danniebelle, and this is what He does for me.
She was a true inspiration to me, as I am an aspiring singer. I want to touch people the way she touched me. I just found out a few days ago that Danniebelle passed away. It felt as if a friend passed away. Please know that I will forever hold your mother in my heart. May God continue to bless and keep your family. Thank you for this website and know that God always has "Knows Best".
